 Fits perfectly! Update: Not too good. :(May 08, 2008

I found the cheapest 8830 holster here at Amazon. Since I've never seen an actual holster for the 8830, I didn't really know what to expect. Because of the low price I paid for it, I thought I was buying an aftermarket replica. When I received the holster, my suspicion was confirmed, so I thought, because it didn't match the picture online. But soon, I was able to compare it to my brother-in-law's holster which came directly from the RIM online store. I was happy to find out that they are exactly the same. He couldn't believe the price I paid for mine. BTW, the picture shows stitching that runs in front of the holster. The one for the 8830 doesn't have one. Anyway, the holster is very well made and my 8830 fits perfectly. One thing I'd like to mention is that using one of those silicone skins will make it a tighter fit. I was told it would fit without any problems but that's another review for that item.
I've been using it for a few weeks now without any issues. The belt clip seems to be holding up pretty well considering that I'm usually pretty rough on my phones and holsters. The only thing I would like changed on the holster is to have better side protection. The bottom and top corners are exposed and can be scratched easily if you're not very careful.
If I ever experience the same belt clip failure that others experienced, I would definitely still buy this same holster again because of the price.
Update: 5/8/2008:
LOL, one day after my almost perfect review for this holster, the side stiching started to come off. One side is now fully open. I noticed tonight that 1/2 inch of the stiching stiching was already undone. A slight tug loosened up what's left of it. Now, I'm left without a holster. I should have bought a few for spare just like what another poster did. Sigh...

"not good"
This case looks and feel good but it so soft you cannot feel it vibrate and it will dial numbers from speed dial because of the soft case over the open face.
